Featuring the same powerful connectivity customizations and edge programming capabilities as the G3, the FATBOX G3w is a cost effective gateway designed to aggregate data from Zigbee, Modbus, Ethernet or CANBus devices in industrial areas with existing WAN (ADSL/Fiber) networks. Suitable for connecting sensor networks and predictive management applications with IOT in build up locations.
 
ROBUST INDUSTRIAL CONNECTIVITY

With industrial temp components, rugged design and active keep-alive, the FATBOX G3w connects Zigbee, Serial (RS232 or RS485) e.g. MODBUS RTU and CAN bus equipped equipment via an existing ADSL or Fiber connectivity.

 
FOR DEVELOPERS (i.e. AZURE & AWS APPLICATIONS)

FATBOX G3 range of gateways is Microsoft Azure Certified. Azure IOT Hub client is integrated to allow easy and secure collection of remote device data to the Azure cloud platform for remote monitoring or further analytics. This application note explains how to install a Mosquitto MQTT client to publish remote IoT device data to a MQTT broker running in AWS. From there the JSON message stream can be ingested by a MQTT subscriber and processed to send real-time data to a dashboard for visualization.

AUTOMATE CUSTOM PYTHON OR LUA SCRIPTS

With ready Python/LUA function libraries (API), engineering can write simple Python/LUA (or BASH) scripts to deploy local automation, like collecting and parsing device data or monitoring an input (e.g. a relay) and act accordingly, e.g. sending an alarm SMS or wake up the router's cellular connection.
